RVC Youth Council Battle of the Bands

Teens in the 9th - 12th grades living in the Rockville Centre school district, and their guests, are invited to the first social event of the new school year sponsored by the RVC Youth Council. Battle of the Bands will take place at the RVC Recreation Center on Sept. 24 from 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. Free admission, refreshments.

On Sept. 24, 7 p.m., Parish Center of St. Agnes Cathedral, 29 Quealy Place, a 9/11 Tribute Event: Together We Remember including Debra Burlingame – Keep America Safe; Steve Malzberg – WOR Radio host; Fabrizio Binova – FDNY EMS Rescue Worker; Andy Sullivan – Hart Hat Pledge; Michael Johns – Former White House speech writer; Lorraine Scanni –Staten Island Tea Party; Rev. Steven Craft – Author and Conservative activist; Dan Halloran - New York City Council Member; Christine O’Donnell – Former Delaware Republican Senate candidate. A look back at heroes, villains and the Divine in Bach’s St. John & St. Matthew Passion

While you are enjoying music pieces by the greatest masters, Dr. Thomas Malone, chairman of the Molloy College Music Dept. will lecture about the importance and lasting impact of Bach’s music in the music world on Sept. 25 at 3 p.m. in Molloy's Hays Theatre, Wilbur Arts Center.
