Rockville Centre native Nora Finnegan dies at 82

Rockville Centre native Nora Finnegan died on Aug. 6. She was 82.
Born on Jan. 31, 1939, she went on to marry Michael Finnegan, and they had three children.
In addition to Michael, Finnegan is survived by her children, Veronica, Noreen Kempinski (Chester) and Sharon (Michael); her grandchildren, Joseph, Chester, Cassandra, Finn and Lainey; and her brother, George, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
The family received visitors on Aug. 9 at Macken Mortuary in Rockville Centre. Her funeral Mass was on Aug. 10 at St. Agnes Cathedral, followed by her burial at St. Charles Cemetery.
