The Rockville Centre Police Department has welcomed three new members to the force. Officers Christopher Stafford, Sean Freely and Nicholas Palladino will soon be hitting the village streets after their official swear-in at a village board meeting on March 6.

“I’m very proud to introduce three new police officers to the community,” said Police Commissioner Charles Gennario before giving a brief overview of the three officers’ backgrounds.

Stafford was born and raised in Nassau County. The East Meadow native followed in his father’s footsteps and was a corrections officer before joining the village police. Outside of law enforcement, Stafford has a passion for baseball and is a liutenant in the East Meadow Fire Department. He will be graduating the Suffolk County Police Academy on March 24 and after six weeks of in-house training he will be patrolling the streets.

Freely is a Floral Park native and received his Bachelor’s Degree in science and physical education. He also received a graduate degree in the same areas from Touro University. He is currently attending Westchester police academy and is expected to graduate in May.

Lynbrook native Palladino has been an officer in the New York City Police Department since 2013 and has worked beats ranging from housing projects to Times Square. He has an associates degree in criminal justice and he is also a nine-year veteran of the Lynbrook Fire Department. Because of his experience in the NYPD, he is currently in field training and will be officially patrolling in the next few weeks.
