Rockville Centre resident Michelle Galante Zangari was recently named to the board of directors for Bethany House in Baldwin.

Galante Zangari has owned MZ Interior Design in Rockville Centre for the past nine years. She grew up in the Five Towns, but has lived in the village for about 20 years. Galante Zangari has served as the vice chair of the Facilities Committee for Bethany for the past year as a volunteer.

Bethany House is a Baldwin not-for-profit agency that provides housing to homeless adult women and women with children seeking emergency shelter.

“I’m very pleased to continue and strengthen my relationship with Bethany House,” she said, “and serve homeless women and their children in Nassau County.”

Galante Zangari said she believes in Bethany’s mission and has volunteered for the nonprofit several times over the years, then decided to take an active role with the Facilities Committee, which she will still continue to do even after being named to its board of directors.

In her role, Galante Zangari will meet with the board virtually and help make decisions on projects and properties that the organization takes part in, she said.
