Rockville Centre schools get interim administrator

Dr. Michael Griffin was recently appointed as Interim Administrator for Special Education and Pupil Personnel Services for the Rockville Centre School District, a position he will hold through June 30. He is replacing Eileen Kamhi who retired last month after 16 years in that job.

Griffin has spent most of his professional career in the East Islip School District where he worked for 20 years — 10 as

Superintendent of Schools. He has also worked at Eastern Suffolk BOCES and has served in an interim capacity in a number of other school districts including Oceanside, Seaford, Glen Cove, Locust Valley and Longwood.
