Rockville Centre's 11-12 girls take District 30 title

Rockville Centre captured the District 30 - 11/12 Girls Softball Championship by defeating Oceanside Fastpitch on July 12 at Klein Field in the Skelos Sports Complex.

The team was led by the stellar pitching of Caroline Joyce who won all three District games. Nicole King had the game winning hit in the championship clincher, driving in the last two runs in a 14 – 3 rule-shortened victory.

“These girls have worked very hard the past few weeks and I’m extremely happy for them,” said Manager Joe Festa. 

The team next plays for the Sectional championship. In the front row of the photo, kneeling, from left, are Kelsey Schuermann, Ann Marie Marks, Victoria Boldis and Hanna Festa.
