Shots fired in Rockville Centre's West End

Rockville Centre police officers responded to reports of shots that were fired near Meehan Lane on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 7:26 p.m., according to Inspector Glenn Quinn.

But when they arrived, the officers were unable to locate anyone who had been injured, any witnesses or evidence of the shots that were reportedly fired.

Later that evening, Quinn said that Nassau County police officers received a report that two men had walked into South Nassau Communities Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. One victim, from Hempstead, had a graze wound to his right shoulder, while the second victim, from Uniondale, had a gunshot wound to his left upper arm.

Quinn said that although the pair refused to cooperate with Nassau County officers who were dispatched to the hospital, police believe the two men were connected to the report of shots fired in Rockville Centre.
