St. Agnes thespians go under the sea

Last month, the Drama Club at St. Agnes Cathedral School put on a whale of a show with a sold-out performance of “The Little Mermaid.”

The Disney tale, adopted from a folktale, tells the story of Ariel, a mermaid who dreams of walking on land. She strikes a bargain with the evil sea-witch Ursula to get legs, but loses her voice in the process. Without her distinct voice, Ariel must try to woo the human Prince Eric if she wants to stay above the waves.

The children performed three sold-out shows, and everyone was blown away by the performances.
