The glitz and glam of Monte Carlo in RVC

The Sandel Center was crowded on April 25 for the annual FOSSI Monte Carlo night, which raised money for the senior center and honored Margarita Grasing, director of the Hispanic Brotherhood of Rockville Centre.

On April 25, the Friends of Senior Services, Inc. (FOSSI) held its annual Monte Carlo Night, raising funds for the Sandel Senior Center, as well as honoring Margarita Grasing.

The annual event is FOSSI’s largest fundraiser of the year. The organization takes the funds that are raised and distributes them throughout the year for various events and projects that all benefit seniors in Rockville Centre.

This year, FOSSI honored Margarita Grasing, the executive director of the Hispanic Brotherhood of Rockville Centre, for her dedication and work with the community.

More than 150 people came out for the event, some lining up long before the doors even opened. They were able to enjoy blackjack, poker, roulette and many other casino-style games, as well as raffles, prizes, food, dancing and tons of fun.
