Time to file school, library board petitions

The annual election and budget vote for the Rockville Centre Public Schools and the Rockville Centre Public Library is scheduled for May 18.

Residents will elect two persons to fill two vacancies on the Board of Education. One is a three-year vacancy commencing July 1, 2010 and ending June 30, 2013. The other vacancy is to fill the unexpired term of Kathy Horace, commencing May 19 and expiring on June 30, 2011.

Residents will elect two persons to fill two, three-year vacancies on

the library board of trustees commencing July 1 and ending on June 30, 2013.

The last day for filing a petition to be a candidate for the school board and the library board is Monday, April 19 at 5 p.m.with the School District Clerk at the Rockville Centre Public Schools Administrative offices, 128 Shepherd Street, Rockville Centre.
