Members of the Rockville Centre Fire Department are busy this week with annual meetings and elections. All seven companies that comprise the department had their annual meetings on April 6 during which elections for company officers were held.
On Thursday, April 8, the department will hold chief and 4th Battalion delegate elections. Chief of Department Mark Murray, 1st Assistant Chief John Busching, and 2nd Assistant Chief John Thorp are all returning to their positions for a second year. Former Chief John Hennig, the 4th Battalion delegate, is running for re-election.
