With thanks

A certificate of appreciation was presented by Major Timothy J. Hiel of the 2nd Battalion 25th Marines in Garden City to the Rockville Centre Fire Department for its second annual Toys for Tots drive, as well as a special thanks to the department for donations of toys to children of local Marines who are currently deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. About 100 toys were donated by fire department members and the Rockville Centre community for distribution to needy children in the area.
