Overcast Woodmere firefighters receive protective masks
Through donations from several South Shore residents, including Brian Rathjen of Rockville Centre, the Woodmere Fire Department received several protective masks that were delivered by State Sen. Todd Kaminsky, a Democrat who represents the Five Towns.
“Our first responders and essential workers are on the frontlines of this health crisis, putting their safety on the line to help protect the community,” Kaminsky stated in a news release. “Providing them with this equipment so they can continue to do their jobs safely is the least we can do.”
With the aim to slow the spread of the coronavirus, it is vital that first responders, health care workers and other essential workers have access to personal protective equipment to do their jobs safely and effectively.
