The North Shore Board of Education recognized four high school athletic teams for their respective achievements during the season. Superintendent Dr. Peter Giarrizzo and Toni Labbate, the board president, presented the students with certificates and specialized North Shore Vikings pens.

The four teams recognized were: Women’s Soccer, Women’s Cross Country, Men’s Cross Country, and Women’s Tennis. The athletes were joined by their coaches at the ceremony.

The Women’s Cross Country team at North Shore High School has accomplished 128 consecutive league meets and 10 Nassau County Championships.

The Women’s Soccer team made it to the State Semifinals this season in the NYSPHSAA Girls Soccer Championship on Nov. 11.

The Men’s Cross Country team came in seventh place in the Section State Qualifier last month, and clinched their third consecutive county championship this season.
