Festive lights in a Winter Wonderland

Posted

On a chilly Saturday, the heart of Wantagh came alive with the fifth annual Winter Wonderland Festival, a joyous celebration hosted by the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce and generously sponsored by the John Theissen Children's Foundation. Held at the historic Wantagh Preservation Museum, this festive extravaganza embraced the holiday spirit in its truest form.

Families and friends gathered to enjoy the festivities. Attendees enjoyed a delicious slice of pizza from Pies on Wheels, and took their kids to feed the goats at the children’s petting zoo. There was even a visit from Santa Claus, as well as an appearance by the mischievous yet lovable Grinch.

As dusk settled in, the focal point of the evening commenced—the dazzling holiday lighting ceremonies that shined throughout the museum grounds, setting the perfect ambiance for the season's cheer. The lighting was preceded by performances from the Spotlight Dance Studio, the Wantagh American Legion Pipe Band, as well as other entertaining acts.

This heartwarming event resonated deeply with attendees, leaving behind cherished memories and anticipation for next year's celebration.
