The North and Central Civic Association hosted an “After the Holidays Egg Hunt” on Saturday, April 30, at Fraser Park in North Merrick. Eager children scoured the park in search of Easter eggs, and all ended the day with bucketfuls of goodies. Even the Easter Bunny made an appearance. The hunt was followed by a matzo ball toss. more
Call it a tale of two forests. On the west side of the Meadowbrook Parkway, on the outskirts of Freeport and Roosevelt, there is the 73-acre Roosevelt Preserve, owned and maintained by Nassau County.
