Since moving to Valley Stream in 1965, Dorothy Walz hasn’t spent much time sitting still. In the past 48 years, she has

The Valley Stream Historical Society hosted its annual Gingerbread House Contest on Dec. 8 at the Pagan-Fletcher Restoration. Guests were able to come in and vote for their favorite gingerbread creation, and picked up some holiday treats.

Valley Stream officials have been talking a lot of trash lately as they ponder the future of garbage disposal in the village. The first item on the agenda is leveling the abandoned incinerator at the public works facility on Arlington Avenue, which has been unused since the late 1970s.
