11th Annual Blazing Trails For Autism 4 Mile Run/Walk

The Eden II & Genesis Foundation will hold its 11th Annual Blazing Trails for Autism 4 mile run and 1.5 mile walk on Sunday, September 8th. The 4 mile run and 1.5 mile walk will begin promptly at 8:30am, is family-friendly, and will be enjoyed by all! The Blazing Trails race is a USATF sanctioned event, on the rolling hills and scenic vistas of the beautiful Great Neck South Campus, and nearby areas of picturesque Lake Success. Proceeds will benefit Eden II’s Genesis Programs, an agency providing services for children and adults with autism.

The race will start and finish at the Great Neck South High School rain or shine. Registration begins at 7:00 AM and concludes at 8:15 AM. Pre-registration will be available until Saturday, September 7, 2019, the fee being $25 for the public, and $22 for Greater Long Island Running Club members. Registration on the day of the race is $30.

Every entrant in either the Run or the Walk will receive a unique commemorative dry-fit long sleeve shirt. Snacks will be provided to all race participants. Local radio station WKJY-FM will be playing great music, along with other great vendor surprises. Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners, along with age category winners. Blazing Trails will have tons of great bib prizes, along with one lucky winner walking away with the grand prize, a road bike with helmet and accessories valued at more than $500 generously donated by Andrew Motola, of Brickwell Cycling/Multisports and STOA Wellness.
