Making the dean's list, graduating college and being published

Hewlett residents Libby Berman and Lindsay Gelber were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. This distinction is earned to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.

University of Albany announced that these students made it’s fall semester dean’s list. Students named to the list earned at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
Rachel Lubin of Cedarhurst, Katherine Rhee and Anthony Cancellarich of Hewlett, Christina Alexandre and Kevin Kramer, and Scarlett Levine of Woodmere.

Danielle Kaplowitz, of Atlantic Beach, graduated from Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. last May with a bachelor’s degree in global communication.

Criminal justice major Sarah Herzberg, a Woodmere resident, made the Buffalo State dean’s list for the fall semester. Students who have completed at least 12 credit hours and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher qualify for this honor.

After her first freshman semester at the University of Massachusetts, Inwood resident Natalie Kenny has a 3.99 GPA. “I was like ‘wow,’’ Joe Kenny, her father, said, when he learned of Natalie’s achievement. He is unsure of how she missed a 4.0 by .01, he said. She graduated from Lawrence High School last year and served as class president. Natalie is majoring in speech therapy.

Woodmere resident Marina Bocci was named to the SUNY Oneonta dean’s list for the fall semesters. To qualify, a student must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have a course load of 12 hours or more.
