Full-service dental office opens in Valley Stream

A husband and wife have teamed up to open a new dental office in Valley Stream, and they hope to educate the community about the importance of oral health.

Central Avenue Dental is owned by Dr. Igor IlyaBayev and Dr. Alevtina Edgar, who previously have worked at a dental office in Queens. Edgar said it was their dream to open up their own practice. The facility will serve patients of all ages and services include general dental care, implants and cosmetic dentistry.

Both hold their doctorates in dental surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry, and they are active members of the American Dental Association and the Dental Society of the State of New York.

Edgar said they plan to offer quality care and good customer service. Education is also a part of their practice. “Dental health care is important,” she said, “and we want to make sure people are aware of that.”
