New Ground recently held its 14th Annual Groundbreakers’ Celebration at the Carlyle on the Green at Bethpage State Park. Rockville Centre residents Jim and Mary Jo Cowan, Bethpage Federal Credit Union and Farrell Fritz, P.C. were all honored. All those in attendance enjoyed a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, and silent and premiere auctions. Proceeds from the event will support the many critical services and educational programs designed to help New Ground’s homeless families and veterans become self-supporting and independent.

New Ground was thrilled to honor Jim and Mary Jo Cowan, who were introduced to New Ground in 1998 and continue to be devoted to the families, children and veterans they serve. Jim has been a member of the Golf committee for more than a decade and is also a member of the Advisory Board. Mary Jo serves as an ambassador of New Ground, speaking about the mission of the organization to everyone she meets. New Ground also proudly recognized Bethpage Federal Credit Union and Farrell Fritz, P.C. for their ongoing dedication and commitment to support the work they do with those in need.
