Valley Stream's village summer camp program hosted its annual Color Wars competition on July 19 at Barrett Park. Campers divided into the blue and red teams and competed in a variety of field day-like activities including a tug-of-war, obstacle course and a variety of relay races.
Counselors cheered on the campers, who battled to the end. For the first time in camp history, the two teams tied. The next major event at the camp is Carnival Day on Aug. 3.
