On April 14 from 10 a.m. - noon at the Rockville Centre Public Library, the public is invited to join Herald guest columnist Hal Peterson and special guests David Kidera, director of the Independent Authority Budget Office, Dennis Tompkins, director of Communications for the Office of State Comptroller and Howard Weitzman, former Nassau County Comptroller as they discuss Albany's rambling bureaucracy of Public Authorities, state and local agencies, and the need for meaningful reform.
