Baldwin family forced to evacuate home after Dec. 23 fire

The investigation continues after a house fire on Grace Street forced a family to evacuate on Saturday.
Firefighters were called out to the home just before 6 p.m., on Dec. 23, after the homeowner discovered heavy smoke in a second-floor bedroom. Everyone in the home were able to escape as units from the Baldwin Fire Department arrived.
There were no reported injuries, nor any details as to the extent of the fire. However, both the Nassau County Fire Marshal and arson bomb squad detectives were on-scene.
