Baldwin Schools give M.L. King his due

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would have been 87 this month, and to recognize the holiday that marks his birth, Baldwin students took to the arts.

Visual and performing artists from across the school district gathered last week to pay homage to the slain civil rights leader.

From drawings to dance, the young performers and artists demonstrated that they not only understood King’s legacy but that they intended to perpetuate it.
