Baldwinite earns honors at Oneonta soccer

Vincent Pellegrino, a senior majoring in business economics from Baldwin, earned first team All-SUNYAC and second team All-Region honors this fall, SUNY-Oneonta said.

Pellegrino played and started in 24 games this season. In 2,099 minutes, he had goals against an average of 0.39 and a save percentage of .866. Pellegrino finished with a record of 19-3-2 with a single season record of 14 shutouts. Pellegrino finished his three-year career with Oneonta with 41 wins and an all-time program best 30 shutouts.

The Red Dragons finished the season with an overall record of 19-3-2 while going 8-1 in the SUNYAC. The team captured its fourth conference title in the last five years while qualifying for the NCAA tournament for the fifth year in a row. In the NCAA tournament Oneonta advanced to its second straight national championship weekend, falling to the eventual national champion, Amherst.
