Swimming time at county parks, inncluding North Woodmere have been extended to 8 p.m. for July 8.
Nassau County
County Executive Ed Mangano extended the closing time of swimming pools at county parks to 8 p.m. tonight. That includes North Woodmere, Nickerson Beach, Cantiague and Christopher Morley parks.
“Nassau County’s outdoor pools provide residents with a terrific place to exercise, have fun and beat the heat, and with the temperatures climbing to particularly oppressive levels we’re going to provide two extra hour of relief,” Mangano said.
Temperatures are in the high 80s and according to Accuweather.com it feels like it is in the 90s.
