An SUV carrying a woman and two children crashed into a Weber Avenue home in Malverne on Wednesday, night, injuring all three occupants and leaving structural damage to the front of the home.

The cause for the accident was unknown to police or firefighters, but one source did say no skid marks, indicating the driver tried to stop, were present.

Malverne’s fire department and ambulance corps responded to the scene, and had aid from the Lakeview, Rockville Centre, Elmont, Valley Stream and Freeport fire departments. Rockville Centre’s tactical rescue team helped secure the foundation of the house, as a large cement block was knocked off the foundation from the impact and fell into the basement, a source said.

The accident occurred just prior to 7:30 p.m.

PSE&G arrived quickly on the scene to shut off the house's gas line due to a possible gas leak.
