Tax Levy: $77,343,622 — an increase of $2,244,113 or 2.99 percent
Tax Impact: Average homeowner in District 13 will pay about $42 less in high school taxes. District 24 residents would have an average increase of $80 and District 30 residents would pay $162 more next year. The discrepancy between districts is due to shifts in overall assessment.
State Aid: The governor’s proposed budget would give the district $16.2 million, a reduction of about $2 million.
Contingency: The district would have to reduce the budget by $823,613. The Board of Education would decide what to cut. By law, there can be no non-essential equipment purchased and community use of facilities would be impacted.
