Construction of water treatment plant in Glen Head ready to begin

In an effort to filter out PFOS chemicals from the Glen Head well, New York American Water has awarded construction of the well’s Granular Activated Carbon treatment system to Philip Ross Industries, a Melville-based construction firm specializing in water treatment systems.

NYAW External Affairs Manager Lee Mueller said she hopes construction can start as soon as possible.
