Davison Avenue students show Islanders love

Jack Hillen and Jon Sim of the New York Islanders recently visited Malverne’s Davison Avenue Intermediary School to speak to Malverne students about the importance of education, healthy eating and exercise.
The hockey players also signed autographed and answered questions posed by students, who prepared for the pair’s visit by decorating the building with hockey posters and wearing their favorite Islanders’ shirts or team colors.
The school was chosen for the assembly based on an entry by fourth-grade teacher Kim Piccola.
