The Valley Stream Herald and Friends of the Valley Stream Dog Park are hosting a Cutest Dog Contest to celebrate the opening of the village's new dog park on May 5.

Additional prizes includes a free micro-chipping and registration from Central Veterinary Associates, a pet "go bag" and gift certificate from Central Vests, gift baskets from Petland discounts and "interactive" dog toy baskets from an electronic fence company.
