Rain postponed the Rockville Centre Lions Club annual Duck Race and Family Fall Festival from Saturday to Sunday, but it turned out for the best.
Beautiful Sunday weather drew a large crowd of hundreds from all over the area to the event at Centennial Park/Mill River. They came out to see the classic car show, spend quality family time and, of course, watch 4,000 yellow rubber ducks race.
The ducks were lethargic (because the current of Mill River was slow), so they had to be nudged along with a blast from a fire hose.
