Elmont Boy Scout Troop 294, with the help of Webelos from Cub Scout Pack 372 in Franklin Square and Troop 24 held a very successful food drive on Sunday.

They collected 500lbs of non-perishable food that was donated to the Mary Brennan INN food pantry.

The food pantry supplies food to more than 500 families a day and also runs a soup kitchen. Village Plaza Food Market on Village Avenue in Elmont was generous enough to all ow the boys to set up in front of their store.
