Mark you calendars for a summer full of free concerts —

plus a children's play — all happening right in Malverne and West Hempstead starting July 9.


Risky Business at the Gazebo

Risky Business at the Gazebo

Friday, July 28th at 7:30 p.m.

Malverne’s summer entertainment series will kick off with the sounds of Motown, disco and rock tunes of Risky Business at the gazebo in Reese Park. Bring a chair or a blanket to sit on.

Theatre in the Park: Madagascar

Wednesday, August 9th at 7 p.m.

A children’s production of Madagascar will be performed at Westwood Park bring chairs and blankets.

Billy Joel tribute band, Cold Spring Harbor

Friday, September 1 at 7:30 p.m.

The Cold Spring Harbor Band, which specializes in a chronological tribute to the music and life of Billy Joel, will perform at Westwood Park. Bring chairs and blankets.


The community’s free Summer Concert Series, combined with entertainment arranged by the Town of Hempstead, will bring many concerts to West Hempstead. All concerts will be held at Hall's Pond Park's gazebo unless otherwise noted:

Thursday, July 13 at 8 p.m.

Echo Park

The timeless music of Elton John will be performed by this band in the ball field adjacent to Echo Park.

Swingtime Big Band

Sunday, July 23 at 7 p.m.

Come and listen to your favorite music from the 1940s through the 1970s with the sounds of Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Harry James and other “big bands”.

Tom Peluso From Across the Street

Sunday, August 6 at 7 p.m.

West Hempstead’s local crooner sings his favorites from Elvis, Nat King Cole and more.

Rockin' the Paradise

Wednesday, August 16 at 8 p.m.

Echo Park

'Come sail away' with this Styx tribute band. The concert will be performed in the ball park adjacent in Echo Park.
