Liz Stevens, of Valley Stream, was awarded the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Spirit Award on March 13 for her volunteer efforts with the organization.
Stevens is chief of association volunteers for the GSNC, which relies heavily on volunteering. “Under her leadership, the organization is flourishing,” said Joanne Antun, a member of the GSNC Board of Directors. “She has expanded membership of girl scouts troops in Valley Stream, and increased the activities.”
Stevens received the award at the GSNC’s 2016 Adult Recognition Awards Ceremony at Long Island University’s Post campus.
