The Italian Experience has grown to be a popular Long Island tradition, celebrating Italy's gifts of culture, education and commerce to America.

Each year Hofstra presents an Italian festival, drawing thousands of people from the tristate area. Unlike any other Italian festival, the Hofstra celebration emphasizes the many Italian contributions to American culture.

The festival features food, vendors, handmade crafts, exhibits by cultural organizations, music, dance, poetry and much more for the entire family to enjoy!

Featured/returning acts: •

Emcee: Cav. Josephine A. Maietta, president, AIAE, and host of Sabato Italiano on WRHU-88.7 FM

• Sons of Italy Square featuring a display of regional folk costumes

• The San Remo Duo

• Alessandra Belloni e I Giullari di Piazza

• Long Island Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra• “Pop-era,” featuring members of The Bronx Opera Company

Plus many Italian cultural organizations

Children's Activities include: Bounce House, Puppet Show, Face-Painting and Magic Show.

Admission: $6 Adults/$5 Seniors/Free for children under 12
