Teens and tweens enjoyed a dance lesson with a tropical twist at the North Merrick Library recently.
Aloha Lolani Dance Troupe, a Polynesian dance company led by Olivia Meyers, offered 14 North Merrick girls a lesson in hula dancing.
"It was so much fun," said Kelly Rechsteiner, North Merick's young adult librarian. "The girls really did a great job, and they learned the dances pretty easily. I think everybody had a great time."
