Kicking off soccer season

Soccer season is here! The annual Rockville Centre soccer kickoff extravaganza, featuring opening games for the South Side High School boys’ and girls’ varsity teams, took place last Friday, Sept. 5, at Skelos Sports Complex. The Lady Cyclones earned a 1-0 victory over Sacred Heart in the afternoon on a goal by Stephanie Leonardo, and six saves from goalkeeper Kayla Klarides. The boys’ team followed in the evening with a 1-1 tie against Baldwin. Matt Diluccio found the net for the Cyclones. Some of those packing the stands included members of the RVC Soccer Club.
