The Save Our Sons Network, an offshoot of the Lakeview NAACP started by Lakeview resident and former Malverne High School teacher Sherwyn Besson, hosted an open mic night last week to showcase the talents of local kids and teens. Participants, who included singers and spoken-word artists, put on various acts for attendees on July 8 at St. Paul AME Church.
