The Long Beach Fire Department rushed to the scene of a three-car collision at the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and East Park Avenue at 3:14 p.m. on Sunday, according to fire officials.

Four people were brought to South Nassau Communities Hospital and treated for minor injuries, according to Assistant Fire Chief Rick DiGiacomo. At least three were released.

Long Beach Building Commissioner Scott Kemins said one person involved sustained a hip injury.

The Point Lookout-Lido Fire Department also responded to the scene and provided an additional ambulance to transport one of the four victims to the hospital, according to the Fire Department.

Kemins said Park Avenue was blocked off for about an hour.

While Long Beach firefighters were at the scene of the first collision, a second unrelated crash occurred at Edwards Boulevard and East Park Avenue. LBFD Engine 1 and Atlantic Beach Rescue responded to that incident, officials said, where emergency crews treated and transported one patient with a minor shoulder injury.

While at the scene of the second collision, the LBFD received a third emergency medical call about an incident that occurred at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Oceanview Street. The Nassau County Police Department Ambulance Bureau responded and transported an emotionally disturbed person to the hospital, DiGiacomo said.
