Join the Long Beach High School theater department for a night of musical merriment as they present “Hairspray.” This romantic comedy with a deep soul tells the story of the plump teenager Tracy Turnblad, who after fulfilling her dream of landing a role on a TV dance show in 1962 Baltimore, throws it all away in the name of social justice when she stages a fight to integrate the show. Shows are Feb. 6, 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. For tickets, call (516) 897-6500.
