Lynbrook School District's $88M budget for 2019-20 passes, incumbents win Board of Education race

Lynbrook School District voters on Tuesday approved the proposed $88 million budget for the 2019-20 school year and re-elected incumbents President William Belmont and Trustee Heather Hanson to the Board of Education.

The Lynbrook budget was approved, 1,318 "yes" votes to 500 "no" selections. The budget will fund new personnel and infrastructure in the district.

Belmont has been on the board for 12 years, while Hanson has served for six years. Franklin and Longo ran together after serving in many district organizations, including the PTA Compact Committee.

Belmont garnered 1,115 votes, while Hanson received 982. Longo and Franklin had 674 and 584, respectively.
