Runners in Saturday's 2nd annual Lynbrook Mayor's Run sponsored by McQuade's Neighborhood Grill started their race at 11:36 a.m. under cloudy skies and bright spirits. The donations collected will go to the Hibernian Hunger Project, the Lynbrook Fire Department and Plaza Theatrical's "Broadway Our Way" for adults with special needs.

"You mean I didn't have to do this?" asked Maureen Kilkelly, wife of the winner of the event, Bernie Kilkelly, who won the trip to Ireland for two in the McQuade's Grill sponsored ayor's Run in Lynbrook.

Bernie Kilkelly finished the Mayor's Run in the top 10 and with the most green liquid still in his cup, and so won a trip to Ireland for two! He and his wife, Maureen, left, just recently returned from Ireland, so they're looking forward to a trip in warmer weather.
