Singer/actress Maureen McGovern brings “A Long and Winding Road: The Concert” to Tilles Center’s Cabaret at “Club T” on Friday, March 23, at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. The concert, based on her latest album of the same name, features songs that inspired McGovern’s beginnings as a folk singer. Prepare to hear an eclectic mix of classic and evocative tunes from such groundbreaking singer-songwriters as Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Webb, Paul Simon, Carole King, James Taylor, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Laura Nyro.

McGovern’s nearly 40-year career includes recordings, concerts, theater, film, television, radio, and songwriting – all with a voice that defies categorization. Still known as “The Stradivarius Voice,” she was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1973 and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Performance in 1998. Tickets are $52 for the 7:30 performance and $42 for the 9:30 show; available at (800) 745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com or www.tillescenter.org.
