Merrick Road crash in Valley Stream injures one

A crash on May 2 at the intersection of Merrick Road and Railroad Avenue in Valley Stream sent one driver to the hospital, according to first responders.

Valley Stream firefighters responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Merrick Road and Railroad Avenue on May 2, which sent one driver to an area hospital.

First responders said that the driver of the other car was not injured in the crash. Traffic on Merrick Road heading westbound was blocked for nearly an hour before the thoroughfare was cleared.
