Motorcycle crashes on Merrick Road

The driver of a motorcycle that crashed in front of Dime Savings Bank on Merrick Road on Monday was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries when his vehicle crashed in front of Dime Savings Bank in Valley Stream on Monday, according to Nassau County police.
Officers responded to the accident at 11:50 a.m. at the bank, located at 175 Merrick Road. Police said the motorcycle was struck by another vehicle, causing the driver to run off the road and come to rest in the grass in front of the bank.
The motorcyclist was taken to North Shore LIJ Hospital.
The Valley Stream Fire Department and the NCPD’s Ambulance Bureau also responded. There was no damage to the bank.
Police said that no charges were filed in connection with the crash.
