Franklin Square water commissioner elected chairman of the Long Island Water Conference

The Long Island Water Conference announced this week that Franklin Square Water District Commissioner Ralph Pugliese has been elected its new Chairman.  Commissioner Pugliese has been active in the LIWC for more than 15 years and previously served as First Vice Chairman of the Conference.   

  “It is a tremendous honor to have been elected chairman,” said Pugliese. “I look forward to continue supporting our members and their commitment to providing essential water service to every household throughout Long Island. We are dedicated to providing residents with some of the highest quality water at one of the lowest costs throughout the United States.”

Ralph D. Pugliese is a commissioner as well as the treasurer for the Franklin Square Water District. Before being named chairman he served as the First Vice Chairman of the Long Island Water Conference. He also served as a past president of the Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners Association.

In addition to his responsibilities at Franklin Square Water District, Pugliese also serves as the Director of Off Campus Facilities for Winthrop University Hospital. Prior to which, Ralph was the Facilities Manager for the MTA/Long Island Railroad Hillside Maintenance Complex. Ralph received a Business Management and Communications degree from Adelphi University.
