Island Park Memorial Day ceremony

Island Park on May 26 will hold its annual parade in honor of Memorial Day starting at 10 a.m. at Village Hall, and terminating at the memorial on Long Beach Road and Talbot where there will be a ceremony at 11 a.m. honoring those who have served.

Oceanside Memorial Day parade

On May 28 at 10 a.m., Oceanside will launch its Memorial Day parade, starting at the School House Green near the corner of Foxhurst and Long Beach roads, and ending at Oceanside High School where there will be a service for veterans as well as refreshments.

Plan for college

The Oceanside Library is holding a workshop on May 29 from 7 to 8 p.m. where tools will be provided to pay less for higher education. Guests will learn about choosing the correct loans and prioritizing financial aid.
