A Few Clouds New principal named to Oceanside School No. 5
Superintendent of Oceanside Schools Dr. Phyllis Harrington announced the new principal of No. 5 school in an email sent to parents in the district.
Scott Bullis has more than 15 years of experience as an educator. He began his career as an elementary school teacher in Ozone Park.
“Mr. Bullis comes to Oceanside with experience as an AP and Principal in the Amityville School District. I am confident he will be a wonderful addition to our amazing faculty, staff and community,” Harrington said in her email.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of challenging the minds of students,” said Mr. Bullis.
Bullis has a strong focus and background in character initiatives, data-driven instruction and literacy development. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue and his master’s degree in literacy from Long Island University.
